In service of connection
Meet Jane Brendgen
In August 2015, I experienced a psychospiritual awakening that opened a profound chapter of transformation in my life. The fierce grace of this process reshaped every part of me, fostering a compassionate and loving connection to myself. I came to realize that opening our hearts to ourselves is the vital gateway to opening our hearts to others and to the world.
During this time, I also discovered the framework of Adult Development - a body of work that illuminates how human potential can unfold toward deeper understanding, wisdom, social maturity, compassion and effectiveness in the world.
In 2021, I was introduced to Chris Jordan’s powerful documentary Albatross, which opened my eyes to the destructive power of our culture of mass consumption and humanity’s damaged relationship with the living world. Seeing the heartbreaking reality of young albatrosses dying, their stomachs filled with plastic, broke my heart. From the depths of grief, a deep and fierce love for Mother Earth and all forms of life emerged.
I came to see more clearly that we humans are one strand in an extraordinary web of interconnection - whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
These experiences have brought me to a place of clarity and devotion:
My work is about transforming how we connect - to ourselves, to each other, and to our precious blue planet.
